Amazon has been a busy little bee the past months. Not only have they been working on a new Kindle called Paperscent that will give you that much coveted smell of old books while reading, they are also the first bookseller in space! They struck a deal with the International Space Station ensuring that astronauts are entertained out there as well as there are down here.
Amazon is just the most awesome bookstore!
Goodreads has unearthed a completely unknown Jane Austen novel in their stuffy attic. One employee was rummaging around for something good to read (see what I did there) and found a completely new manuscript by Austen in a Nappa Estate Sale. Of course Goodreads is going to share this great find with the public and they have announced they will actually publish the books themselves.
I can’t wait to read Mirth & Mischief!
Stack reviewed a very interesting new magazine which is the first step to post-content publishing. Taking minimalism to the next level, artist Rollo Piaf has created a magazine that is so high-concept, most people won’t be able to read it.
And the best thing is, the magazine is entirely ad-free!
Moo.com, the store for all your online publishing/printing needs is working on a new delivery system. Knowing they can’t outsmart Amazon and their delivery drones, they went for the cute route and hired an entire population of pugs to deliver your goods to you.
Pugs might be slow, but at least they are adorable!
Smart Bitches Trashy Books has the solution for everyone who is done with facebook, but still wants social media to bitch about what books they like and how stupid you are for not liking them as well. They present Bitchster, the newest social site for Romance Readers.
They even give a daily recommendation of more trashy novels!
